Instead of time bound teaching, we follow the principle of target bound teaching. The priority is not just syllabus completion but making sure the students understand whatever is being taught. Periodically, during the class, the faculty summarises what has been taught till then and at the end of the class the conclusion of the topics discussed is written. This makes sure that the students carry home the essence of the concepts.

Our interactive and fun presentation ensures that the students enjoy the classes rather than feeling forced to attend them. The breaks between the classes allow the peers to bond with each other and form friendships that last a life time

Our emphasis is on building a strong foundation of our students. We build their concepts from the base level. This gives an opportunity to students of all levels to thoroughly understand and enjoy the topics taught.

To make sure our students are able to recollect the concepts taught in class efficiently, our teaching is backed with catchy and easy to remember logics. These make sure that the concept is ingrained in the student’s minds.

Seminars take place regularly to shape the character of the students. These seminars build their moral values and inculcates in them a sense of personal, professional and social responsibility and a desire to contribute to the society. They help the students to bond with their teachers and peers and learn lessons that will help them throughout life. The main motive of these seminars is make them understand that with their success comes a responsibility to contribute to others and work for the overall betterment of the country.

Special focus is given to the attendance of the students. Regular attendance in classes is required. In case of irregularity, check ins are done on the students. The students write their time of entry and exit each day in the attendance sheet. If anyone is absent without prior intimation, their parents get contacted the very next day for the reason of absence.

This is so because we believe that missing even one class leads to a break in the flow of the concept. It makes them unable to relate to what is being taught in the class and all the hard work done till now to build their concept goes down the drain.

Target oriented, distraction less self-study environment with proper vigilance is provided. Listed below are few amongst the numerous benefits of study hours:

● The students are able to learn from each other and they grow together.

● The ambience of the study hours ensure that they are able to focus on their studies.

● Study slots of minimum three hours improves the concentration ability of students and gives them the practice required to stay focused throughout the exam.

● Being inside NSS premises gives them the ability to approach the faculties present to clear any doubts that may arise. Their constant presence also allows their mentor to give them periodic guidance and support. Study hours at NSS increases the student’s efficiency, consistency and gives them the practice required to focus for prolonged duration.

The study planner provided by us allows the students to be systematic in their studies with the help of daily and weekly target list. The analysis report they fill in their planners gives them a clear idea of their strengths and weaknesses. The subject wise analysis card provides them with the clarity required to know their own progress in the subject. The order of approach required to gain complete authority over a particular chapter is provided in the planner. This allows them to study in a strategic way.

We provide scholarships up to 100% to meritorious as well as underprivileged students. NSAT (NSS Scholarship Aptitude test cum admission test) takes place before admission on which depends the percentage of scholarship awarded.

Certificates of Excellence and medals help to motivate the students and encourage them to study harder. It also develops a healthy competition amongst them. The appreciative words of the teachers instill in them an enthusiasm to work even harder.

Academic seminars take place at regular intervals to discuss exam and study approach. Exam strategies for the different competitive exams are made and customised according to individual student’s strengths and weaknesses. The topic of discussion includes how to prepare and what books to solve, how to approach the test, which subject to start with and what type of questions to attempt first. Seniors and alumni share their experiences and provide valuable inputs to the aspirants.

Career counseling after exams for the most suitable college and course selection is provided to each student according to their interests. NSS has a vast network of alumni. Our alumni are studying at reputed colleges all over the globe. This enables us to get accurate updates and provide best guidance to our students and help them select the correct college and correct stream.

The personal mentorship provided by us has several layers to it. 1. Working on the mindset of student: The mentor’s first priority is to help the under confident student to build his self -confidence. His faith in the student helps light the spark of hard work in them. The constant push by the mentor pushes the mentee to do their best. The next step includes working on removing the misconceptions of the students regarding studies. The mentor makes the student experience the beauty of the process instead of just focusing on the results. The mentor works on building the confidence of the student in one subject first. This confidence gives the student the boost required to excel in the other subjects. The mentor is a pillar of support throughout in this gradual process. 2. Balancing: The student is trained on how to balance all their subjects. They are also guided on how to balance their school along with NSS. Proper balance allows the student to really give their best and makes sure that their hard work bears fruit.

We provide mentorship at three levels: 1. Student mentor: An alumnus guides the current aspirants regarding the do’s and don’ts in their preparation phase. This alumni talk motivates the students and inspires them to follow in their senior’s footsteps. Student mentorship is a chain process, when the current students pass out, they return the favour to their juniors. 2. Subject Mentor: The concerned faculty is the subject mentor. He guides the student on the particulars of the subject. The subject mentor’s expertise on the subject allows him to properly guide the students on what to study, how to study and what to solve for that particular subject. 3. Chief Mentor: Nikhil sir is the chief mentor. Having 22 years of experience he has guided many students to success. He focuses on the growth of his mentee in all aspects; academic, mental as well as emotional. He makes his student ready to face all the hurdles. Sir constantly monitors the progress of his students and makes sure they reach the pinnacle of their success. Not only does he provide guidance during the preparatory phase, he pushes them to go beyond their level and achieve the pinnacle of success.
